Its some content, audio or even video, that can you can download to your computer and play.

That requires a podcatcher. I use iTunes but its far from the only one.

Producing a podshow is somewhat more involved but results in a file that you can download.

You can subscribe to an RSS feed. RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication.

Its helps you automagically skip over stuff you've already downloaded.
